1) From this class I hope to gain a better understanding of both the mechanics of computers and the internet, but also how to integrate technology into a classroom. I hope to fill in the blanks that I have in my computer skills. I keep on thinking of a way to describe my skill level and I keep coming back to my grandmother and driving. She drove a car for 75 years, but never took a driving class. I use the internet everyday, both for business and for recreation, yet I have never really been trained on it.

2) I have used computers the same as I imagine others in my/our generation have. I do not have any special skill or experience that I can say that I can bring to the table.

3)I will be doing what is required for a student in the GTC program. I do not have a clear understanding of what that is at this point.

4) I have yet to work in a classroom. After the first day of class today, I feel that this class will give me a much better understanding of the internet. I have a niece who is a senior in college. While I was in middle school when emailing and the like came to all of our houses, she runs circles around me with technology. I can only imagine that younger kids are faster. I know that keeping up with them will be crucial to effective teaching.
